We value the dignity of each person, and we believe it’s not the disability that causes a problem — it’s a lack of adequate services.
Our success over the years has been bolstered by a variety of sources, including charitable contributions from organizations and individuals
Are you a direct support professional with a passion for behavioral health work and the desire to provide the best care possible?
WHAT DO WE DO?
We believe having a disability or a mental illness shouldn’t prevent anyone from participating in everyday life. That’s why we’ve been pioneering behavioral health services – to ensure each person we serve can develop the skills they need to live independently and realize their potential in ways they couldn’t before.
Our ideal aim is to ensure people with multiple disabilities have access to as many opportunities as possible – including Competitive Integrated Community Employment.
My son has been served by Rock Creek ever since he was diagnosed with mental illness at age 23...almost 25 years ago. He has lived in a well-cared-for group home with many supportive staff members. They help him manage his money, drive him to doctor appointments, provide social activities on weekends, and help him get to the Greyhound station when he wants to visit me. Their Day and Medical Programs offer much needed support. I am greatly appreciative of all that Rock Creek provides to give my son a good quality of life.
“Anytime I make a mistake, the staff, they wouldn’t hold it against me and they would just work with me…” “I’m starting to adjust and learn more about the real world. The Rock Creek Foundation has helped me get integrated into the community by getting me housing, benefits, food, and stuff like that”. “The Rock Creek Foundation helped me with learning habits, like waking up in the morning and working as a group. They helped me pay for housing, and that’s what I need- a place to live in. They said, ‘Do you want a house?’ and I said yea! I guess I went for it!”
