The Rock Creek Foundation

Developmental Disabilities Administration

There is no one path to living a full life, but experiencing a full life always means expanding the capabilities and potential of the individual. Individuals with full lives have a choice. They live and thrive in communities where they feel included, can participate, and remain engaged and active as citizens. That’s what the DDA or Developmental Disabilities Administration’s support of Rock Creek Foundation’s programs helps to fulfill.

In Maryland, the Developmental Disabilities Administration is a State agency that funds community-based programs and services. Rock Creek Foundation is one example of a community-based organization that works with the DDA and individuals who apply to access DDA services.

These programs and services specifically work with and support people with developmental disabilities as well as family members, other community agencies, and even healthcare providers who form a transdisciplinary team around the individual. Ultimately, the end goal is to ensure that those who need support services live a fulfilling life and have the resources they need to do so.

Rock Creek Foundation’s award-winning service delivery strategies and ground-breaking treatment programs rely on DDA Maryland’s disbursement of funds to continue the implementation and maintenance of standards of care for individuals with disabilities.

There are very specific benefits that individuals who trust and participate in RCF’s services gain, including supported employment, individual support services, day habilitation programs, and community support living arrangements.

DDA Maryland’s main role is to strengthen our initiatives. Their efforts focus on a coordinated service delivery system within the community. This means individuals and families who are part of RCF can take advantage of community-based services through a Medicaid State Plan, waiver program, or through DDA State-funded services.

This means no family or individual who needs to participate in these services gets left behind. Our continued partnership with DDA Maryland also means affordability never impinges on accessibility.

Here are some additional DDA waivered programs that RCF can provide:
